On the weekend we were staying with friends who fortunately love playing bridge! I learnt about ‘Goulash’ – what a revelation. Basically, if the bidding is boring and stuck at the one level you can all place your hand of cards in a pile and then re-deal the cards. Deal 5-5-3 ie: five cards to each player, then five again, then three. The result – amazing hands and exciting bidding! Give it a go.
