Stay at home!
Although it is a spoiling treat to go away on holiday, I am also a great fan of staying at home and making sure I enjoy all the things it is easy to take for granted; a comfortable bed, making coffee just how I like it etc.
So I have decided this summer to book in a day or two, or three! And have a holiday at home.
A perfect day would start with a lazy breakfast, reading the papers and using my favourite coffee cup. The doors would be open out into the garden (hopefully it would be sunny!)
Pottering in the garden, visiting a gallery, market or antique shop then lunch – preferably outside with fresh ingredients from our local farm shop.
Laze away the afternoon with a book
And in the evening, a relaxed supper with friends and a hand or two of cards!
