Specially made playing cards were sent to American soldiers being held in German camps during WW2. The United States Playing Card Company collaborated with the government to produce the cards. The special feature of the cards was when made wet they peeled apart to reveal escape maps to help the captured soldiers find their way back to Allied lines.
